Your pet isn’t just allowed—they’re celebrated. From dog-friendly gelato to cat-approved snacks, these cafés are embracing our four-legged companions.
Pet-friendly cafés: Serving more than just human food

There are two kinds of pet parents: The ones who can leave their fur babies at home and the ones who take them everywhere. If you’re in the latter camp, Jakarta is stepping up its pet-friendly game.

A growing list of cafés in the capital now cater to both human and non-human guests, serving up more than just kibbles and cream. Our options make sure that your pets will get more than just a plain old bowl of water.

These places go beyond pet-friendly. They’re pet-forward, with curated menus for dogs and cats. It’s a hangout space for all creatures great and small.

In short, as a pawrent, you don’t have to choose between your social life and your pets anymore.

Finding cafés that welcome and serve pet meals is rare, but in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Senayan, Cecemuwe Cafe & Space offers special treats for cats and dogs, ensuring they can enjoy a meal alongside their pawrents.

They set themselves apart with their signature menu, featuring four flavors of pawsome popsicles for dogs at Rp 19,900 and liquid snacks for cats at Rp 8,000. Humans are advised to assist their pets when they munch on these.

Beyond serving food and drink, Cecemuwe can be your go-to place when you need to host small gatherings for fellow pawrents and fur babies, making it ideal for networking and socializing.

2. KINA

Senopati, South Jakarta

Located in the trendy and upscale Senopati area, KINA provides a wide selection of meals and snacks, covering both Indonesian and Western tastes. Established in 2020, KINA was named Chope Indonesia's Cafe of the Year in 2021 and was again listed among the capital’s top coffee spots in 2023.

Embracing a natural aesthetic, KINA is suitable for casual dining and hanging out with both friends — beers, cocktails and whiskeys range from Rp 110,000 - Rp 250,000 (US$ 6.50 to US$ 15.00) — and pets.

They curate their pet menu carefully, serving both snacks and full meals; perfect if your four-legged best friend has a large stomach.

For light bites, the restaurant offers sliced sausages. For heavier meals, you can treat them to rice and minced meat. Both go for the same price of Rp 40,000.

The laid-back place also hosts dog-lover events, including paint-your-pet sessions with Bartega art workshops.

3. LEMONDISCOFISH

Kemang, South Jakarta

Having an ice-cream date with your lover or crush? Too mainstream.

What if you have an ice-cream date with your pet? Now we’re talking.

Located in Kemang, LEMONDISCOFISH is a must-visit spot for the sweet tooth in you. The café is a house-style comfy space with vibrant color walls and playful decorations. With a cute-themed interior, you’ll get licked into a retro-modern ambience.

Now, let’s talk ice cream: Teh Botol (ice tea), Honey Lavender and Rujak Sorbet are among the best-sellers. If you want the classics, there is vanilla with A-grade beans from Bandung, coffee with 100 percent Arabica beans from Bali and vegan dark chocolate.

For your furry friend? Either a small 60-milliliter cup (Rp 20,000) or a medium 120 ml cup (Rp 30,000) of gelato delight. These human-grade, sugar-free ice cream flavor choices include peanut butter, goat milk and banana.

The place is perfect to enjoy a “Sundae Funday” with your paw kids.

4. Nool/Strala The Cafe

Gading Serpong

Nool/Strala The Cafe is a haven just outside the city for those who love a good crunch in their pastries, located in Goldfinch, Gading Serpong.

Though there are other Nool/Strala pastry shops (in Darmawangsa, Sedayu City and Antasari), the Gading Serpong branch is the only stand-alone pet-friendly location.

With daily fresh goods for humans and a fair share of specially-made paw treats, you and your furry friends can enjoy a variety of options.

For humans, viennoiseries and hot sandwiches start from Rp 20,000 to Rp 98,000. Hungry for more? You can choose between their Western and Oriental main courses.

For your pets, bite-sized cookies in neatly sealed packaging go for Rp 30,000 each.

Beyond just treats, the cushy café with a clean aesthetic offers you an intimate space for some quality time with your fur babies.

5. Mayrahkee Cafe

Gading Serpong

Macaroni Schotel, Mie Ayam (chicken noodle) and meat pie? They’re not for you. They’re for your favorite pets.

Mayrahkee Cafe, also located in Gading Serpong, is a place where your paw friends can really, really eat. Going beyond the usual meal, the restaurant offers over 10 dog menu options, including dessert. Their milk pudding flavors are healthy: Carrot, broccoli or beet.

With prices ranging from Rp 12,500 to Rp 45,000, you can treat your dogs to a delicious mukbang (eating broadcast) experience. If you want to take home some doggo delicacies, you can even order 100-gram takeaway bags, starting at just Rp 15,000.

For humans, the restaurant provides a diverse menu, including pasta, rice bowls and Indonesian classics.

Here, the line between human and pet food blurs in the best way possible. With thoughtful options and generous portions, this café ensures your pup eats like the king or queen they truly are.
